Russian Islamic Republics Muslims in Russia is divided in two main areas: the Volga region (in the heart of Russia), in the six republics (Tatarstan, Bashkiria and Chuvash, Mordovia and Mary Yale Odmurt) in addition to the Orenburg region. The second area the North Caucasus region (southwestern Russia) and include seven republics (Dagestan, Chechnya and Ingushetia, Qberden Balkaria and North Ossetia - Alania and Carchiev Circassia and Adyghe).
